WE ARE THE GHOSTS

Amsterdam, December 31, 1999. Mina (17), her mother Dora (50), aunt Cato (45), and uncle Winnie (40) have come together in the canal house of their late (grand)mother, to celebrate New Year's Eve together as per the family tradition. While Mina is determined to record her family in her drawings, Dora commands her family members around, Cato wants to go over the papers for the sale, and Winnie tries to announce that this is the last time he wants to celebrate NYE with the family. So once more, a toast to the new year and the start of the apocalyps. Meanwhile, a mysterious crack in the wall continues to grow and time keeps ticking forward towards midnight.
